Nvidia on Thursday criticized a reported plan by the Joe Biden administration to impose new restrictions on AI chip exports, saying that the outgoing U.S. leader should not "preempt incoming President Trump" by enacting a last-minute policy.

Nvidia Corp. criticized new chip export restrictions that are expected to be announced soon, saying the White House was trying to undercut the incoming Trump administration by imposing last-minute rules.

The ruling: Eastern District of Kentucky Court Chief Judge Danny Reeves in an order Thursday said the regulation on Title IX, the federal law that bars sex-based discrimination, is unlawful. He said the rule is “arbitrary and capricious” and violates the spending clause and the First Amendment, among other issues.

The Biden administration’s Title IX rules expanding protections for LGBTQ+ students have been struck down nationwide after a federal judge in Kentucky found that they overstepped the president’s authority.

US President Joe Biden has said he thinks he would have defeated Donald Trump and won re-election in November. Speaking to USA Today in an exclusive interview, Biden did however add that he was unsure if he would have had the stamina to carry out another four-year term.
