New president issued an executive order ending remote work for all federal workers shortly after his inauguration

President Donald Trump is putting an end to remote work for federal employees, with one of his first executive orders bringing the federal workforce back to the office full-time. Half of the federal workforce has been allowed to work remotely.

Unionized federal workers across New England are prepared to fight President Donald Trump’s order that will require them go into the office full time. The executive memo directs department and agency leaders to “take all necessary steps to terminate remote work agreements.
